About the Position:
As the Marketing Associate, you will play a critical role in executing and optimizing our marketing efforts. You will work closely with the Leadership, Investment, Growth, and Client Service teams to implement marketing strategies that drive lead generation, improve client engagement, and elevate our brand presence. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone with 2-3 years of marketing experience to contribute to the growth and success of our firm. You'll work closely with multiple departments to ensure successful project execution and contribute to developing our marketing strategy. Reporting to Director of Operations and will be in the Bethesda office.
What You’ll Do:
Content Creation and Management. Develop and write internal and external company newsletters and content. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to develop and distribute high-quality marketing materials, including presentations, email templates, newsletters, whitepapers, and social media content. Create and manage a content calendar ensuring timely and relevant content distribution.
Campaign Management: Assist in the execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns (email, digital ads, social media, webinars, etc.), ensuring consistent messaging across all platforms. Interacting with all departments to understand goals and objectives.
Marketing Automation: Support the creation and management of automated marketing workflows, including email nurturing campaigns, event triggers, and client communication.
Event Coordination: Manage and organize internal and external company events, and special events with prospective clients and COIs. Coordinate and manage logistics for client events, webinars, and conferences, including managing registrations, communications, and post-event follow-up.
CRM & Data Management: Maintain and optimize CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), ensuring accurate data entry, segmentation, and reporting.
Website & Digital Presence: Assist in maintaining the firm's website and digital channels, optimizing for SEO and user experience. Working with outside vendors as need to develop and deliver
Analytics & Reporting: Track, measure, and report on key marketing metrics such as campaign performance, lead generation, and conversion rates, providing actionable insights to improve future initiatives.
Compliance: Liaise with compliance to ensure all marketing materials and communications are compliant with regulatory standards and firm policies.
What We Need:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or a related field.
4+ years of marketing experience, preferably in a financial services or investment firm.
Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate highly technical and analytical material into public-facing content.
Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce) experience and marketing automations tools Pardot, Marketo, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
Proven event planning experience, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects with high attention to detail. Working with the Leadership team and key stakeholders across the firm.
Dynamic ability to prioritize and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Ability to analyze and report on marketing metrics and performance. Experience with web analytics and SEO best practices is a plus.
Experience with content calendar management and development.
Knowledge of investment documents and marketing materials and compliance regulations in the financial services industry a plus.
