Pennington Alternative Income Management (“PAI”) is an alternative investment firm focused on delivering attractive risk-adjusted returns through differentiated yield-oriented investments.

We make and manage investments on behalf of ultra-high net worth taxable investors and the advisors that serve them.

  • Specialty Finance & Fintech

    Asset-based loans, holdco notes, or structured growth capital in support of emerging financial technology companies and neobanks. Illustrative deals include:

    • Revolving credit facility for a bank lender that originates commercial loans through a Federal Reserver-administered stimulus program

    • Senior-secured Holdco note for a consumer finance company

  • Corporate Credit

    Tailored solution capital for businesses or liquidity solutions for portfolios that generate predictable cash flows and/or attractive unit-level economics. Illustrative deals include:

    • Secondary purchase of participation in senior-secured loan from family office investor in a co-investment SPV

    • Secondary purchase of an LP interest in European direct lending fund

  • Real Assets & Real Estate

    Opportunistic debt and equity investments in high quality, income producing collateral. Illustrative deals include:

    • Structured junior capital into an OpCo/PropCo roll-up of self-storage facilities

    • Construction loan to finance the development of a multi-family apartment building in Jersey City
